Salted capers (9 mm) in salt

These salted capers come from the Eolian islands and are handpicked throughout the season (May to August) from caper bushes. They are treated and dried delicately so to keep their natural aroma and taste. 

The capers for their intense and at the same time delicate flavour, have two main functions in kitchen: exalt the flavours of the dishes to which they are added and aromatize.

The dry heat and strong sun light of the Aeolian Islands offer an ideal environment to caper plants. Caper bushes grow since ancient times in the Eolian islands and the capers (the flowers of the capers before they blossom) have an intense taste and aroma.
